I’m Sorry, More Tomatoes!

I get into a thing, when it comes to summer. and it has to do with gardens and what comes from them…….right now, it’s tomatoes. I hope I don’t bore you!

Ummmmm drool! These goodnesses were just itching to be eaten and I wasn’t one to keep them from getting what they need! So I chopped these bad boys up into a salad.

I couldn’t do anything with these except eat them. I literally ate this bowl like finger food. My real dinner was some pasta with….you guessed it, tomatoes. With hotsauce!

It was good. I won’t lie. I mean, all those tomatoes are going to sooth my stomach. I have felt SUPER nauseous the past two days and I hadn’t eaten since breakfast this morning because of it. Which is bad I know so I tried to make up for it.

Breakfast though didn’t involve tomatoes. It was chia oatmeal with stewed apples that I canned last fall!

I still have quite a few quarts from apples I stole from an abandoned orchard in the middle of the night. Don’t tell anyone. It was one of my favorite adventures of 2009.

  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 scoop chia seeds
  • 1 cup stewed apples
  • 1 large scoop of peanut butter (all melty of course)

This is for about three breakfasts though so third it if you want to have it only once! It was filling, but not enough to stave away the fast approaching and nearly ever present nausea. I want to have this baby! Shoot.

Question: Is there a food you could eat every day?

  • Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. There is seriously nothing like fresh tomatoes. And that container of stewed apples. I’m going to need some of them

  • Tomatoes are gorgeous! No need to apologize.

I could eat pizza every day. And ice cream. Was I supposed to say something healthy? Haha.

  • Garden tomatoes are the best. I could anything with mushrooms and rice everyday.

  • ah speaking of tomatoes – Brad had revived that tomato plant I told you about, but now I think he’s killed again, he’s been pleading with it all week by watering it every day, and well begging for it to grow

  • THose tomoatoes are so pretty…you can post about them all you want. I have tomatoes every day. Bananas too.

I hope you start feeling better. Its definitely getting harder as the baby gets bigger and takes up more room. Sometimes I feel like I can choose to either eat something or quench my thirst. But eating and drinking together leaves me uncomfortably full.

It’s funny, while I like tomatoey things, i.e. salsa, pasta sauce, etc. I cannot eat a raw tomato!

What thing could I eat every day and never get sick of (beside the obvious hot sauce!) is CHEESE!

  • The tomatoes are so gorgeous!

  • Don’t say sorry! I totally get the fetish for a certain food, esp when it’s in season! I can eat nuts and kabocha every single day…probably do!

I sadly could eat cheese every day…which is super not healthy…
But, my new favorite food is mashed cauliflower — tastes better than mashed potatoes and is about 10 times healthier!

So…I’m thinkin of going vegetarian Diana. I’m kinda feeling it out and testing the waters. But I think I would feel much, much better if I did. We need to have a girl gathering at the Eden Alley Cafe sometime soon!
