I’m enjoying veggies these days. Not like I haven’t always loved veggies but I’ve been feeling them more lately. So I have basically been chopping them up and stir frying them. I’m literally doing this twice a day! Lunch and dinner look nearly the same.
Roasted broccoli and a stir fry of cabbage and onions. Naturally as soon as I took this photo I slathered this whole thing with hot sauce. I love roasted broccoli.
That meal didn’t have too much color so from then on I started adding more ingredients….like carrots!
Much better. Of course once these have a lot of hot sauce they get slightly more red. haha.
Unfortunately, I’ve noticed Avery is more gassy lately and that makes me wonder if all this cabbage and broccoli is causing it. I’ve heard that it does so now I’m going to test and go without for a while. If he improves then I’ll cut brassicas out of my diet. If not, than I’ll cut out something else…..like coffee. That causes gas right? Hopefully not because I already had my coffee this morning. As well as a bowl of stewed apples.
It’s like the perfect way to start the day. If Avery is really reacting to coffee and not other things then I’ll just drink tea…no biggie!
Little update on exercise! I haven’t been able to run or walk as much as I like but I have been keeping up with weight training. I LOVE it and haven’t even missed a single day. Because I’m doing it so much I keep having to change what I’m doing as I adjust. At first I was sore after the work out. Then I was only sore by the next day and next thing you know I wasn’t getting sore even when I increased my reps. So yesterday I added on more weight and increased my sets. Yowza! It’s awesome. Along with my weight training I’ve been doing several ab and butt working moves on my exercise ball. I’m definitely feeling the lack of cardio so today I’ll be focusing on that as well as weights.
And now for the obligatory photo of my super super cute little pumpkin. I had to shade his eyes for him to look at me with them wide open but it was worth it for this shot even with the shadow.

Cruciferous veggies are definitely a gas culprit, but they’re so tasty! At least you won’t have to cut them out forever
Aw, I love all of the pictures of Avery! Sorry he’s gassy, but I agree with Kacy: at least you don’t have to cut out the veggies forever!
