Tied Down

Okay, I DID have time to blog yesterday, I just didn’t because I was too focused on these guys.

I have a good life.

Eli let me sleep but he spent the entire day feeding. When I say the entire day, I mean I got a few, few minute, breaks all day. Crazy kid!

I loved the time with Eli but it definitely kept me from getting much Avery time and not being able to do things around the house sort of made me crazy by the evening. Sitting all day will do that to a person!  I could barely make anything to eat during the day and my end table looked like this.

In the evening I set Eli on Shane and tried to catch a few moments away from nursing to make us some dinner.

Eli was yawning…….I promise.

I tried to do something that would be fast and easy so I just sliced a few pieces of bread and put sliced tomatoes (from my dad’s garden!), spinach leaves, black olives, green onions, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt and a drizzle of olive oil.

They turned out quite delicious. Lately I’ve been adding seasonings and oil over the cheese of pizza and it really makes a huge difference.

After all that nursing Eli slept like an angel last night. I would celebrate but my milk supply was through the roof so you can only imagine the discomfort……

As for lunches I’ve been eating copious amounts of homegrown tomatoes from my dad and most of my salads look something like this.

It’s delightful. So summery and fresh.

The other delightful thing? Brothers.

Avery wants to hold, snuggle, kiss, pet and talk about Eli NONSTOP. He’s always begging to hold him while I’m nursing! So cute.

There is always the danger for Eli when it comes to the residual affects of Avery’s rough play but when it comes to direct interaction it is the best thing ever.

So I am sorry for deserting yesterday  but really, I was just a milk station.
