What a winter this has been but this week we get a short hiatus and it’s above freezing and there’s rain! Although their are still large piles of snow everywhere but the general ground is now just wet! It took a few days but I’m hoping it’ll stay above freezing for a while. There hasn’t been sun in a long time and hopefully (crossing my fingers for Friday!) we’ll be seeing some soon.
I’ve been fiddling around with my camera trying to figure out what’s wrong with it and last night I forgot to put it in my purse! My eats at work weren’t much to speak of anyway. A couple bean burritos and a couple apples.
Tonight I made a big salad for Shane and I. Here’s the pre-Shane version (that I had) before the cheese and cured meats went in.
It had artichoke hearts, black olives, tomatoes, onions and lettuce. Soooo good! After that I headed to the Tuesday night bible study. This week was really good and we discussed things like memorizing scripture and such which I believe is really important.
When I got home I needed some more veggies so I whipped up a salad burrito.
Just carrots, onions and lettuce in this bad boy. I’m feeling a bit bloated….could be the tortillas?
Anyway, I’m cleansing my palate now with some raspberries with a touch of maple syrup and a cup of chamomile/mint tea.
It’s to die for really. The way the maple syrup compliments the frozen raspberries very nearly can’t be described!
Tonight I plan on sleeping tight since last night was a bit weird. Talk to you tomorrow!

Love the mug, I’m working on memorizing a new verse every week and focusing on my daily morning devotions.
I love frozen mango so I’m sure I’d be into the raspberries too! The maple combo sounds delish
I love frozen fruit. It’s especially good right after a hard workout when you’re really hot.
mmm frozen raspb’s are So good! esp mixed in greek yog or cottage cheese!
I LOVE munching on frozen fruit…soooo yummy!
I just love frozen fruit! My favorite lately is frozen blueberries mixed into yogurt, if you let it sit a bit it freezes up the yogurt…dessert!
Hi Diana, I just popped in from Sophia’s over @ Burp & Slurp. You have such a comfy blog here. I love the notion of mixing in gardening and food. I just can’t wait to see what I grow this year. I do hope you will be posting about your adventures also. Bookmarked!!!
Raspberries and maple syrup sounds like such a yummy combo. Very creative.
Hopefully you’ll get blessed with some sunshine. Have a great remainder to your week!
