Recovery

So my sweet little Eli got the cold and had it pretty bad yesterday which is one of the reasons I didn’t post. There’s noting worse than hearing your little baby cry with a hoarse voice and stuffy nose:(

So I spent the ENTIRE morning laying on the couch, with Eli laying on top of me…..nursing. He needed all the nursing he could get to help keep his congestion moving down, keep him hydrated and keep him comforted.

I didn’t mind:)

Avery was doing MUCH better and played by himself and watched Ponyo to stay entertained while I focused nearly 100% on Eli. He did so well and I am so proud of him for being a big boy.

This morning Avery seems almost entirely his old self aside from a majorly runny nose and poor little Eli is as hoarse as ever and sad as ever. He spent the night next to me in bed nursing and snuggling and even after I got up he stayed asleep in our bed.

The good news? He slept the whole night. He obviously needed it. His stuffy snore doesn’t bother me!

While he slept I made Avery and I some breakfast.

I’ve been mostly eating yogurt for breakfast in different fashions but yesterday I finished that off and so I’m back to the good old  banana/egg pancake! I made Avery banana French toast bites though which is just bread soaked in the banana/egg mix.

I even got to eat part of my breakfast before I heard that raspy little cry coming from my room. So we’re nursing now and I can foresee most of the day spent this way…I have no problem with that!

So that’s me checking in, but now I’m back to doing my primary job….getting these boys healthy and not getting sick myself!

Question: Do you get summer colds often?

Poor babes!! :( So sorry they aren’t feeling well. There’s nothing worse than when you have to spend all your day literally nursing…in every fashion. Hopefully things get better soon! We’re actually headed to KC next weekend for an aquaponics course!
