Propped Up

This morning I feel like I’m having to prop my eyelids open with coffee. Honestly, even that didn’t work at first and I dozed off only to open my eyes to find Avery’s face about once inch from mine…..freaked me out. He doesn’t like when I fall asleep with Eli in the morning because morning is when we’re supposed to be awake and he likes things to be how they’re supposed to be.

He gets it from me. I wanted to be sleeping last night but Eli thought I was joking.

Time stamp of 2:45am.

Then he totally ditched me this morning.

So rude.

I understand where Avery is coming from but that doesn’t get me the rest I want, unfortunately.

Yesterday with Eli so sick though we spent the whole day on the couch.

Eli was only really comfortable when he was on me and Avery got his books and we read/looked at them together. It was really nice. One of Avery’s books has donuts and he sneakily leaned over the page and licked them. hahahaha. Adorable.

I sort of got a minute to eat lunch and piled some left over chicken, homemade beans, carrots and bbq sauce over a bed of lettuce.

I just basically threw it together and snarfed it down as fast as possible because Avery didn’t want to nap and Eli didn’t want to be alone. You really can’t deny a croaking little cry of a sick boy…..it’s just too pathetically sad.

On a high note, the weather  changed last night with a random storm that left us with barely any rain but a huge temperature break so as soon as I’m done with my coffee we’re heading out to take a walk! Looking at the forecast I think we can probably go for walks every morning for at least the next few days. This is a really amazing perk for my sanity.

And now I must get the boys ready to get out. Have a great morning!

Question: What meals do you throw together when you have no time?
