Last night I totes got four and a half hours of sleep. I don’t want to jinx it, but I think things are getting better….?

Our new set up (post chiro) has improved each night. It’s been one week since Eli’s chiro appointment and some residual affect seem to be taking place. The first was, as I mentioned before, mobility. He stopped screaming after a few inches of crawling and has been pulling up on low surfaces (the toy box, the crib rungs, Avery’s bed frame, etc) and actively tries to pull up on things like chair seats, end tables and the coffee table.
The less noticeable improvements are both gas and sleep related. Less gas, although I accidentally ate beans a few days ago and that is still definitely a huge issue for him. No beans Diana, no beans. Night time wake ups generally can be taken care of by a quick one or two minute cry it out or feeding (depending on whether I feel like I might explode or not, not necessarily his appetite), and these waking sessions are happening less and less. Like I said, I managed to get four and a half hours of sleep last night. Take into account that we stayed up waaaaaay too late (around midnight) and I’d say that’s a massive positive. Also, Avery was the one that got up at six, Eli slept a little longer.
Having the boys in the same room post chiro has been pretty successful though they are still both adjusting. Avery still has the incessant urge to jump into the crib with Eli and Eli does have a massively loud cry but mostly Avery sleeps through it and if not, I just go snuggle with him.
This is our goal each night.

And we are getting more and more stream lined into making that happen.

I’m glad things are getting better for you guys! Sleep is so important!
Hey! I am not sure what your diaper changing technique is but reading through your last couple posts and knowing that you are getting him adjusted I thought I would share this with you. It might be contributing to his gas issues.

slow & steady…slow & steady…progress!! yaaay!
do you think perhaps second babies are given a louder set of pipes to be heard over the older child?
ryan had THE. LOUDEST. cry i’ve ever heard in a kid. not kidding. thankfully he doesn’t choose to use it as often as i think he could. i’m hoping for some continued progress and success in your eternal quest for sleep! HUGS!
