Okay, I may have a problem….ever since I learned how to shop at thriftstores, I may or may not love my thriftstore finds more than anything else I own. Take this lamp.

Now all I have to do is find a proper shade for it! I have a smooth, white, wide, cylinder in mind…..
And this lovely plate.

I somehow have been reduced to four dinner plates. I am not sure how this happened but I’ve been keeping my eye out for pretty dinner plates and this one fit the bill. A bill of $0.98 to be exact. One I can definitely live with.
I feel like I haven’t posted in ages! Technical difficulties yesterday kept me from getting on here so maybe that’s why.
While I was away I made this pizza.

Mmmm yummy. Shane said it was the best pizza I’ve ever made (though I oversalted the sauce). I think he was being nice since I’m coming off a massive failure. I attempted to make a Chicago Style pizza. It didn’t work out. But this WAS a very yummy one.
All this pizza had was crust (1/4 of my basic bread recipe), sauce (crushed tomatoes, salt, oregano), black olives, cheese (four cheese blend from Costco), olive oil and spices. I always top my pizzas off with a quick drizzle of olive oil and some herbs. It makes the cheese do something amazing.
Then I bake it for 12 mins at 500 degrees.

There were also a million amazing cute moments.

Apparently it was extremely important that I understood why the cop car had to be RIGHT THERE.

This one is just to show Eli’s facial diversity.
But seriously, it’s been rainy all day and we’ve had more activities with this laundry basket than any other toy. I pushed them around in it.

And they sat and played with stuffed animals, Buzz and Woody in it.

It’s been fun. But Avery just decked Eli in the head with it so, that’s how things end sometimes. haha
Question: How do you spend your time on rainy days?

That pizza looks aMAZING.
So I just want you to know that I will be on your continent in like a week and a half. Starting from that time I’m going to be making maximum effort to spend a lot of time with you and your babies.
I know, you didn’t even have time to miss me yet.
I love rainy days so much. If I don’t have to work, I drink extra coffee or tea, turn on some quiet music, and either curl up in my corner chair to read or write, or I work on art. It’s also a good day for letters. Ok, so that description is my ideal rainy day, and now that I’ve read it I realize it doesn’t actually happen that often. Usually I have to work and/or run errands, and do chores around the house, all the while thinking, ‘it would be nice to read a good book or make some art.’
OMG Angela, I cannot WAIT til you get home! Kristin and I agreed we have to all hang out together when she’s here too. I’m sooo excited to see you!
